Every print is numbered and embossed with a ‘Larry Smart’ seal imprint as authenticated by Sam Smart, Larry’s son. This iconic image of Jimi Hendrix was created in 1967, the simplistic shapes and colours are signature of Larry Smart's work.

This awesome screen print of guitar-burning Jimi Hendrix was part of the V&A's exhibition Records and Rebels at the end of 2016 about the late ‘60s, which is currently on tour around the world.

It's said that the flames are reference to Jimi Hendrix setting his guitar on fire and of the track released that year aptly named 'Fire'.

Larry Smart is renowned for his paintings of 60s iconic pop legends including John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan, as well as psychedelic mandalas, Marrakech riads and glorious landscapes. Larry was also responsible for much of the early Whole Earth Foods design packaging. The full extent of Larry’s work is not known and he died over ten years ago.
